Handmade Crowns

Photobucket

I recently have had an obsession with handmade crowns. I think this would be SO cute as a cake topper for a little girl's birthday cake, for her to play dress up in, or for an artistic photo shoot.

I know it is OVER THE TOP. I was going for exactly that. I would love to make some simple ones too, though that are smaller with ribbons to throw in Ava and Addy's dress up box out of quilting fabrics and have them decorate them with some glitter and sparkle. I think it would be fun for a mother, daughter craft. Ava and Addy both love to play in this one. No, this is definitely not something they would wear to the grocery store unless you are the coolest mom ever but yes something to be enjoyed just by her.

Oh, I think it is fantastic!!!!!!! But, I love everything you create, so this is not too surprising to me. How.much.fun!? And HEY! Why not at the grocery store. If people let their kids go barefoot in the store....I say yours can wear her crown. Ha!!! ;-)

Joy, the crown is absolutely FAB. And kids are allowed to be kids and wear fabulous accessories even to grocery store :)

Joy, I just love this and you a absolutely right, it's a great thing to do as a mother daughter thing. Like always, you create wonderful and amazing things & I would definitely let me kid wear one at the grocery store, here in NY nobody would even notice (LOL)...

Alright so either you guys are the coolest moms ever or I need to move to NY where no one would notice my girls wearing these to the store.
I think I need to make some more now. I would love some that are shorter in height but still with lots of flair. I think they would be so cute out of some damask home decor fabrics or Amy Butler fabrics. What would you guys make them out of?

Your daughter is adorable and the crown is so sweet! Please tell me you are going to sell this as a tutorial!
I think Amy Butler would be cute or one of the many darling Japanese fabrics with sweet little animals would be so cute for younger gals.
BTW, I gave in last week and let my little princess wear a crown to the grocery store. Gotta pic the battles! ;)

I am in love with everything that you do! I am so curious as to where you got, or how you made the "legwarmers" in this photo... They are absolutely adorable. If you made them, do you have a pattern available for purchase?

Seriously need a pattern for this!!!!!
