My best birthday memory extends across a few birthdays. When my family was broke, my parents couldn't afford big birthday gifts, so my mom would get one big box and fill it with $0.25-$1 things that she had found on clearance throughout the year. My sister and I thought we'd hit the jackpot and it's only now as an adult that I realize why birthdays were like that. I LOVE my mom and this special memory.

Birthday party at the lake with my friends and family!
My favorite birthday was my 7th. I loved all things Rainbow Bright and my grandma surprised me with a Rainbow Bright cake and an handmade Rainbow Bright pillow. I slept with it every night for years and still have it stashed away in my keepsake trunk.

My best childhood birthday memory was my 10th birthday. I had a party at the local skating rink. I was VERY overdeveloped for a 10 year old, I probably looked more like 15. Well, it came time for a couple skate, and a boy asked me to skate with him. I didn't have interest in the boy, but I didn't want to stop skating, so I accepted. As we were skating, he asked how old I was. I was SO proud to finally be in the double digits at 10, that I told him "Today is my birthday! I'm 10!" He actually fell down right in front of all his friends,lol..I still laugh about it to this day, and hope my daughter doesn't develop nearly as early as I did!

Just before my 5th birthday, my family went to the state fair. I saw a huge stuffed lion that I really liked and wanted. My parents said we didn't need any more stuffed animals and that it was too big. On my fifth birthday, I came downstairs and found that my parents got the lion for me after all. My dad had gone back and tried to win it for me. After many failed attempts, he paid the barker way too much money to just buy it.

We never had parties growing up. Instead my mom would make our favorite meal and we got to pick the cake she made. I always chose chocolate cake with sticky icing. Yum.

Okay, best birthday memory is having a surprise sweet 16 birthday---my friends did it for me and it was the best--it was a Thursday, a school day, and they even took me to breakfast before school started, bright and early at 6am!!!

My best birthday memory was after a McDonald's party when i was 5. There was a sugar-Ronald-mcdonald on the cake. I saved it and brought it to my great-grandma who lived in a nursing home. They weren't allowed sweets because of all the diabetics, but she had no problem and was SO pleased to get to share my birthday.
my best birthday memory when i lived in Minnesota and we got snowed in at my party at the bowling alley. So we got free hours and hours of bowling and food! I think i was like 10ish

My favorite memory was going to Disney every year. No matter what, even when my mom struggled with finances we ALWAYS went to Disney World. We had PB&J sandwiches on the lawns and had a great time.

I can't think of any birthdays that really stand out from my childhood...the one that comes to mind as the most memorable is my 27th. I had just recently ended a long, soul-sucking relationship, and this was the first birthday in a very long time where I was single. It was a quiet birthday -- I just went out for dinner with my very good friends, but I remember feeling more alive than I had in a very long time.

I got a surprise party from my family on my 12th birthday. It felt like everyone had ignored me that day and then SURPRISE!
My best childhood birthday memory...My parents threw me a party for my 7th birthday-it was a Scooby Doo theme-I discovered Doritos for the first time! I ate the whole bag before the party even started! The love affair with Doritos continues to this day!

My favorite birthday memory was having a scavenger hunt up in the mountains at a park. Mom mom hid lots of candy and we got to go find it. We still have scavenger hunts to this day at Christmas to go find our gifts. It makes it funner for us adults because we have to follow clues to the big gift.
My suprise birthday when I was 14. We had a luau with a DJ and everything. It was the last party I had!

I was probably around 10 years old and we "surprised" my friends at each of their houses at about 7am or so and woke them up. Everyone stayed in the pjs and we ate breakfast.

Growing up with two brothers and all of us kids born in the same month, we would always have one combined birthday party. Every year it would always be a boy themed cake. To my sheer delight, on my 6th birthday, I got to have my very own birthday. Pink cake, cupcakes with pink frosting, barbie dolls and everything girly. A dream come true but the icing on the cake was the next day when my daddy took me to the shops and I got my ears pierced. I'll never forget it :)
